ABOUT US.

We exist because God so loved the world that He sent Jesus to make a way for us to be reconciled to God, and by believing in him we can have eternal life. As Jesus has been sent, He is sending us.

The disciples of Jesus / Mauritius is a movement that aims at making disciples that make more disciples by the power of the Holy Spirit with simple, reproducing and Biblical principles.

This is a movement that started more than 2,000 years ago, when Jesus said to his first disciples, “Follow me and I’ll make you fishers of men”. He later commissioned them to go into the whole world and make more disciples of every people, baptizing them, and to train them to obey His commands until the very end.

Today, the disciples of Jesus / Mauritius are obeying that command from our little island to other nations. Our desire is to honour our Father’s heart to see ALL PERSON, ALL PEOPLE, ALL PLACES reach with the Gospel of Jesus.
“And when this Gospel will be preached to the World, as a testimony to all people, then the end will come” – Jesus

Who we are.

We are a network of simple churches across Mauritius that meet in homes, businesses, by the beach, under trees… wherever people connect.

We are ordinary disciples who desire to be obedient to Jesus’ commands and reliant on the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not an organisation, but simply being the church from the simplest expression.

What we do.

The essence of being disciples of Jesus is to hear, obey, and shares everything that He says.

Before Jesus ascended to heaven he left his disciples with a mission to complete: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. – Matthew 28:19-21

Based on Jesus words and lifestyle, his motive and mission is to wholly to love God and others. We believe that making disciples is the primary outflow of this. To that end, we aim to love God, love others and make disciples who can make other disciples.

That’s why we go, we make disciples, we baptize, and we teach others to obey and to the same things until everyone knows.
